Marilyn Bunbury

September 18, 1940 ~ February 28, 2024

 

Marilyn Bunbury was born on September 18, 1940 in Galahad, Alberta to David and Ethel McGowan.

She married Tom Bunbury on October 2, 1958.  They enjoyed living on their farm north of Castor for 43 years.  This was a mixed cattle and grain farm.  They moved to Castor in 2001. 

Marilyn enjoyed gardening, sewing, berry picking, playing cards and being involved in many community organizations such as Royal Purple and she saw the communities need for the Calf Help Line.

Marilyn enjoyed their many trips to Mexico, Hawaii and many bus tours around North America.

Marilyn passed away peacefully on February 28, 2024 with family by her side.

Marilyn was lovingly remembered by her husband Tom until his passing on March 5, 2024; her children: Daniel (Charlene) Bunbury of Castor, Valerie (Donald) Minchin of Sherwood Park, Marla Vierboom of Spruce Grove and Rhonda (Kelly) Knorr of Blackfalds; grandchildren: Vicki Bunbury (Kevin), Jerard (Rena) Bunbury, Rochelle Bunbury, William (Marcy) Minchin, Gregory Minchin, Sarah Minchin, Alexander Minchin, Campbell Minchin, Jasmyn (Mitch) Ray, Onno (Jennifer) Vierboom, Roslyn Vierboom, Colton (Jessica) Knorr and Sawyer Knorr; great-grandchildren: Nixon, Reese, Amy, Daniel, Lily,  Kayandra, Ayris, Jade, Walter, Gordon, Stanley and Paisley ; sister Joan (Doug) Leadley; as well as many other relatives and many dear friends.

Marilyn is predeceased by her parents David and Ethel McGowan.

 

A Celebration Of Life Will Be Held Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at 2:00 P.M.

Castor Community Hall, Castor, Alberta

 

Memorial donations in memory of Marilyn may be made and sent directly to Knox United Church, Castor Cemetery or to Our Lady Of Rosary Hospital Foundation.
