Treasured memories of a friendship of nearly 60 years after meeting at the Bank of Montreal. Esther 'adopted' me into her life in 1965 and made sure the Pals and Steinwand siblings became part of my Canadian family. My parents, in England, were very relieved to know that Esther was taking care of their naive 20 year old daughter! I was able to enjoy so many new experiences, especially in Castor, during my stay in Calgary. I will miss our regular phone calls but Esther, my dear friend, you will always have a very special place in my heart.
