Obituary of Clifford Elry Cline

Clifford Elry Cline was born on September 11, 1945 to Camilla (Kilborn) and Elry Cline in Coronation, Alberta.  He passed away peacefully with his wife Sally by his side on December 4, 2023.

Clifford was born and raised in Coronation.  Following graduation from high school in 1963 Cliff helped his dad on the farm.

Over the years Cliff owned his own businesses: Cliff's Backhoe and Trucking and Septic Tank Hauling as well as worked for some local businesses such as Darwin Likness, Rindal Construction, Lamontagne & Son, Filipenko Bros and lastly the County of Paintearth as a grader operator.

Cliff first saw Sally Laspinas at the Coronation Shell in 1992, while she was there working for Francis and Alice Chung.  In 1993 Sally moved to Banff.  Cliff travelled to Banff every other weekend until 1994 when he finally convinced Sally to marry him.  They married July 28, 1995 and honeymooned in Sally's home country of the Philippines.

Cliff and Sally loved to travel and were able to see Manitoba, Saskatchewan, British Columbia and the United States taking in many museums and sites.  Cliff also loved many sports with curling, bowling and golf being a few of his favorites.  He was also active in 4-H Clubs for many years as well.

Cliff retired in 2013 at the age of 68 years.  During his retirement years Cliff enjoyed collecting tractors and trains.  He was fortunate to display his hard work at many local tractor pulls, parades and Show N Shines.  Cliff volunteered many years for the Coronation Fire Department and Coronation Elks.

Survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Sally; he was predeceased by his parents Camilla and Elry Cline; Sally's parents Jose and Pacita Laspinas and brothers in law Neri Laspinas and Randy Wearmouth..
